Design Optimization

Procurement
Utilizing vast resources and vendor relationships, Paragon has access to hard to find components. We select and procure only the finest components to ensure the highest level of reliability and quality.   Our purchasing system is linked directly to our engineering system to ensure that you never have to worry about substitutions of un-authorized parts.  What we build for you will always be per your AVL or QPL.

Real Time Tracking
With our bar coded production tracking system we see every aspect of our production process. We know where your jobs are and what their status is with the push of a button. The data we collect allows us to analyze our processes and people so we can easily identify production bottle necks and training deficiencies before they become critical issues. If a process change is implemented, we see exactly what its effect is.

Cable Assembly
Our success is built on years of experience in the industry and advanced production techniques producing cost savings and repeatable quality.  We build everything from single wire assemblies to harnesses comprised of hundreds of wires and dozens of connectors.  We utilize some of the best wire processing equipment available, from our Tyco crimping presses and applicators to our Komax and Schleuniger cut and strip machines.  We are fully tooled for all the common connector systems including D-Sub, circulars, MODU, KK, mini-KK, Mate-n-Lok and many others.  Paragon has some of the finest coax processing equipment available in the world to handle even the most sensitive RF assemblies.

Over Molding
We offer a low pressure, low temperature molding process.  Using polyamide or polyolefin thermoplastic compounds, we can over mold products that conventional molding processes would damage or destroy.  Not only can we mold back shells and strain reliefs, but we can mold directly over most circuits boards without damaging sensitive components or delicate wires or leads.  Our molding process provides an excellent and cost effective alternative to potting or encapsulating.  Due to the nature of the molding materials, all our molds can be made from aluminum, steel is not required.  We also have the capability to make inexpensive prototype molds that can yield 10-100 parts so you don’t have to invest in formal tooling until you have your prototypes in hand.

Sub-Assembly and Box Build
Taking cable assemblies to the next level is one of our specialties here at Paragon.  Whether you need sub-assembly
or full Box Build, we have the resources, technical skills, and certifications to fulfill you needs.  With the ability to fully turnkey your product, or provide a combination of purchased and supplied parts, Paragon has the expertise to handle your supply chain needs.

Testing
Paragon fully tests every assembly for opens and shorts and correct component polarization to verify complete accuracy of wiring.  We make custom test boards that allow us to electrically check a harness while simultaniously confirming its dimensions and orientation. Using state of the art Cirris testing equipment, insures that we stay current with industry standards.  We confirm the quality of each assembly through a comprehensive documented quality inspection process. Insuring every assembly is built to print, meets customer requirements, and/or IPC 620A wire harness standards, including Hi-Pot  and pull testing.

Quality Control
At Paragon, we build in quality not inspect it in. We know that people aren't perfect and mistakes happen. When they do, our system allows us to quickly analyze what happened, when it happened, and who was involved. With this information we can easily determine the root cause and take appropriate action. Our quality tracking system provides immediate statistical feed back to production on all quality aspects of the production process.  It is the backbone of our continuous improvment program.  We have on staff certified J-standard and IPC 620A trainers.  We maintain current ISO 9001-2008 and ISO13485-2003 certifications.

Packaging
Paragon carefully packages and labels each assembly to assist in safe delivery to our customers.  We can custom package and label your product to fit your needs.
